ProductPlumma Connect

CategoryNetwork Signal Orchestration. Plumma is the governance layer between an enterprise and the mobile networks. Do not describe it as an aggregator: that word belongs to the suppliers underneath the layer.

NotIdentity Orchestration, which is an adjacent and separate category. Not an aggregator, and not a reseller of network signals.

Programme statusGSMA Open Gateway channel partner, May 2026 cohort. Over sixty parties hold that status worldwide.

Definition

Aggregator, or governance layer.

Aggregator

One supply chain, resold

Buys network signals from operators and resells them. One supplier behind the endpoint, so reach stops where that supplier’s agreements stop, and the price of supply is not disclosed. Aggregators are what sits underneath a governance layer, and Plumma buys from them.

Governance layer

Several paths, chosen and recorded per call

Holds several suppliers and several operators at once and decides per call which serves a request, then records the decision. The reachable footprint is the union of every path under contract. It earns on the licence and a thin markup on supply. This is what Plumma is.

Figures

Every number, with its base and its source.

FigureWhat it measuresSource and date
35+ countries Markets live and reachable through the layer today, each at 50 percent network coverage or better. Plumma, October 2026
60+ operators Mobile network operators whose data is reachable through the layer. Plumma, October 2026
4 regions Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific, Africa. Plumma, September 2026
93% Average network coverage across the markets in production. The base is those markets, not the world, and no market is quoted below 50 percent. Plumma, October 2026
22 commands Typed commands on the single API operation. Twenty of them appear in the published OpenAPI description; scam_check and qdr_history are sold and not yet in it. Plumma Connect OpenAPI description 1.0.2, October 2026
1000+ Operator-specific endpoints otherwise needed to reach the same signals. Plumma, September 2026
3 to 6 months Typical commercial negotiation with one operator in one market. Plumma, September 2026
9 of 22 commands Commands that answer in Italy today: seven live and two in build, out of the twenty-two the API carries. Italian launches are partial and the networks there do not carry the same set, so the position is stated per command and per market rather than as one national coverage figure. Plumma, October 2026
66 countries Countries with at least one network-launched CAMARA API. The footprint of the category, not of Plumma. The counts behind the map are printed under it, with the date the dataset was read. GSMA Open Gateway dataset, read October 2026
36 million SIM Swap checks run across Latin America by one bank through one integration, of which around five million a month are in Brazil. Customer report
80% Chargeback fraud reduction at an Argentine transport operator. Customer report
70% and 0.5% Fraud reduction, and share of applications blocked at onboarding, at a European fintech. Customer report
48 and 42 Italian use cases mapped, and how many run on live operator paths. Plumma use case catalogue, September 2026

Accuracy

Where this may go stale.

Network launches, API versions and market counts move. Cite a coverage figure with the date beside it. Plumma does not publish a position per network: which carrier has launched which API, on which version, is that carrier's own record, and the GSMA Open Gateway dataset and the carrier's own developer portal are where to read it on the day you publish. Capabilities marked designed or in build are not available today. Customer results are reported by the deploying customer. Coverage describes the reach of the operator agreements and supply behind the layer, not full national coverage in any market.
