issuing_carrier
issuing_carrier tells you which mobile operator originally
issued the phone number. The answer does not change when the number is
ported: for the operator serving it today, use
current_carrier.
Comparing the two shows whether the number has left its original
operator. For whether and when it was ported, use
porting_timestamp.
Request
Send the number and issuing_carrier in
commands. No other input is needed.

Response
{
"status": 0,
"status_message": "Response from one supplier",
"issuing_carrier": {
"mcc": "310",
"mnc": "260",
"name": "T-Mobile USA",
"spid": "6529",
"ocn": "6529"
},

| Field | Type | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
name |
string | The commercial name of the operator that issued the number. |
mcc |
string | Mobile Country Code of that operator. |
mnc |
string | Mobile Network Code of that operator. Read it as a string: leading
zeros matter (012 is not 12). |
spid |
string | Service Provider ID, the identifier of the operator in the North American number portability system. |
ocn |
string | Operating Company Number of the operator, used in North America. |
Only the fields the source holds are returned: the others are left out,
never sent as null. spid and ocn
are North American identifiers and are usually absent for numbers
elsewhere. mcc and mnc can be absent for a
fixed line or a network without these codes.
When there is no issuing_carrier block
If the source holds no issuing operator for the number or could not be
reached, the response has no issuing_carrier block. The
status is 4, and the
status_message names issuing_carrier among the
commands that returned no data. If the number's country is not covered,
the status is 2, or 4 when other
commands were served.
Billing
A response with an issuing_carrier block is charged. A
response without it is not charged.
